Weingut Becker-Landgraf

Becker-Landgraf is a family-run estate in Gau-Odernheim, Rheinhessen, owned and operated by Julia and Johannes Landgraf. Their vineyards, largely on the Petersberg and including Herrgottspfad, Ölberg and Rosenberg, combine clay, limestone, marl and Muschelkalk soils. The estate farms organically, with natural humus, green cover, no artificial irrigation and a strong focus on soil health, biodiversity and insect habitats; it is EU-organic and FAIR’N GREEN certified. Julia and Johannes have spent more than 15 years exploring Burgundian varieties, particularly Chardonnay, alongside Riesling and Pinot Noir. Their wines are made with minimal intervention, including wild-yeast fermentation, extended lees aging and selected barrel maturation. Estate, village and single-vineyard wines emphasize site character, structure and mineral depth, with the top wines sourced from fully ripe grapes harvested at low yields.
