Schrader Cellars

United States

Schrader Cellars is a Napa Valley, California producer founded by Fred Schrader in 1998 and focused exclusively on single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines are sourced from celebrated sites including Beckstoffer To Kalon, Las Piedras, Georges III, and Wappo Hill, and are crafted under the long-running leadership of Thomas Rivers Brown. Schrader has built a strong reputation for powerful, concentrated yet elegant Cabernet Sauvignons with clear vineyard expression and consistent critical acclaim, including numerous 100-point scores. The winery is now part of Constellation Brands’ TRU Estates and Vineyards portfolio, while retaining its established winemaking direction. Sustainability information is limited, though the Robert Mondavi-managed portion of its sourced To Kalon fruit is being converted to certified organic status beginning with the 2023 vintage.
