Prats & Symington

Portugal

Prats & Symington is a Douro joint venture founded in 1999 between the Symington family and Bruno Prats. Family ownership and continuity are central: seven Symington family members, including six from the 13th generation, are involved across winemaking, marketing, and finance. The partnership works with Quinta de Roriz and Quinta da Perdiz, with additional fruit from Quinta da Vila Velha. Winemaking is led by Bruno Prats and Charles Symington, supported by Pedro Correia and Miguel Bessa. The wines are vegan-friendly, though no organic or regenerative certification is noted. Prats & Symington combines deep Port family heritage with a focused Douro table-wine project and is also linked to the Symington family’s wider portfolio of historic premium Port houses.
