Italy

Muraje is a small family-run winery in Carema, Piedmont, owned and operated by Federico and Deborah Santini. They work old vines on steep, terraced, iron-rich mountain soils, using the traditional pergola Caremese system supported by stone pillars and relying on intensive manual viticulture. Their wines are made with a natural, low-intervention approach: hand-harvested grapes, basket pressing, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, modest sulfite additions, and aging in neutral barrels. No formal organic or biodynamic certification is listed.
