Producer

Mother Rock

South Africa

Mother Rock is a boutique wine label in South Africa’s Western Cape, led by winemaker Johan Meyer in partnership with Indigo founder Ben Henshaw. The wines are sourced from exceptional parcels across diverse soil types, secured through long-term relationships with growers committed to organic and biodynamic farming. In the cellar, Meyer follows a low-intervention approach, fermenting without added sulfur dioxide and relying on only light sulfuring before bottling. The focus is on sustainably farmed sites and careful, quality-driven winemaking rather than scale.
