Producer

Leonardo Bussoletti

Italy

Leonardo Bussoletti is an artisanal producer in Umbria, with vineyards around Narni, San Gemini, Penna in Teverina and Alviano. The winery’s stated values are craftsmanship, uniqueness and sustainability, with a focus on recovering and enhancing ancient Umbrian grape varieties and traditional local winemaking practices. Its work has made Ciliegiolo a particular focus: Leonardo Bussoletti founded and chairs the Association of Ciliegiolo Producers of Narni and created the “Ciliegiolo for Art” project, linking the variety with the city of Narni. The wines are presented as distinctive expressions marked by intense aromas, freshness and ageing potential, while the Ciliegiolo bottlings emphasize fragrance, detail and drinkability. The vineyards lie in a less-known, rugged part of Umbria, on white calcareous clay, sand and rocky soils.
