Lagar de Fornelos

Spain

Lagar de Fornelos is a micro-producer in Rías Baixas centred on Finca Troviscoso, a vineyard planted in 1987 and purchased in 2021 by the owners of La Rioja Alta. The estate is focused mainly on Albariño, with small plantings of Loureiro, Treixadura and Caiño Blanco. Its soils are granite-based metamorphic schist with loamy-sandy, shallow, well-drained, low-pH conditions. The project is associated with Julio Sáenz and Olga Verde. No organic, biodynamic or other sustainability certifications are mentioned in the available notes.
