Gran Moraine is a certified sustainable winery in Yamhill, Oregon, working from a vineyard on the western edge of the Yamhill-Carlton AVA in the foothills of the Coast Range. Planted to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on thin marine sedimentary soils, the site benefits from a temperate growing season and diverse hillside exposures. Winemaker Shane Moore leads a team with broad international experience, alongside Erica Snyder and director of farming Leti Catoira. The style emphasizes elegance, restraint, and terroir expression, with early picks, extended native fermentations, and careful extraction. An open-air winery, disciplined cellar practices, and experimental work including pét-nat and extended-tirage sparkling wines shape a portfolio known for vibrant energy, freshness, and balance.
