Fattoria di Piazzano

Italy

Fattoria di Piazzano is a family-run estate in Tuscany, founded by Otello Bettarini in 1948 and still owned and operated by the Bettarini family. The third generation, siblings Rolando and Ilaria Bettarini, oversees winemaking, with a focus on expressing local territory and native grape varieties. The estate practices organic and ecosustainable viticulture, using renewable energy, reducing chemical fertilizers and plastics, and employing lighter glass bottles while preserving biodiversity. Its wines are vegan certified and combine traditional knowledge with modern techniques. Located in the Empolese Valdelsa hills south of Empoli, the estate offers tastings guided by the owners.
