Elio Grasso

Italy

Elio Grasso is a family-owned estate in Monforte d’Alba, Piedmont, founded in the late 1970s by Elio and Marina Grasso and now run by the next generation, Gianluca and Francesca. Based in the Gavarini and Ginestra zones, the family emphasizes low-yield, hand-worked vineyards and has vinified and bottled parcels separately since 1978 to highlight each site’s character. The estate describes itself as farmers first, with a strong respect for local tradition and the work of previous generations. Its wines are made with careful cellar aging and bottle rest, aiming for balance when young as well as strong aging potential, especially in the structured yet elegant Barolo style of Monforte d’Alba.
