Domaine Ventoura

France

Domaine Ventoura is a three-generation family estate in Fontenay près Chablis, founded in 1953 and now led by Thomas Ventoura. Its vineyards span Petit Chablis, Chablis and Premier Cru sites, including Portlandian and Kimmeridgian soils. The domaine has followed organic farming since receiving certification in 2023, with daily vineyard observation and a low-intervention approach focused on respecting the land and expressing each terroir. Wines are fermented with wild yeasts and generally aged in stainless steel, with limited older oak reserved for top cuvées; some receive extended lees aging. Thomas combines the family’s emphasis on vineyard work and terroir with modern pressing and winemaking facilities.
