Domaine Roulot

France

Domaine Roulot is a long-established family estate in Meursault, Burgundy, founded in 1820 and now led by Jean-Marc Roulot. Farming has been organic since the early 1990s and is now certified organic, with herbicide-free viticulture, hand-worked vines, minimal plowing, early pruning, low sulphur use, and some biodynamic experimentation. In the cellar, the approach is low-intervention, with natural yeast fermentations, limited oak, and minimal lees stirring. The domaine remains closely identified with the Roulot family, from Guy Roulot to Jean-Marc, who also runs a micro-négociant label; former cellar master Ted Lemon is another notable figure in its winemaking history.
