Domaine Romuald PETIT

France

Domaine Romuald Petit is a 16-hectare estate in Saint-Vérand, on the border between Burgundy’s Mâconnais and Beaujolais vineyards. Its vines extend across varied granite, schist, clay-limestone and volcanic-derived terroirs, covering around ten appellations. The domaine farms organically as a commitment to preserving nature and heritage, rather than simply as a certification. Old vines and limited yields are central to its approach, contributing to concentrated wines. The whites are predominantly Chardonnay from clay-limestone soils, while the reds are Gamay Noir from sites including Morgon, Chiroubles and Saint-Amour. The estate also draws on the experience of older generations alongside newer ones.
