Domaine Richaud is a family-owned estate in Cairanne in the Southern Rhône, founded by Marcel Richaud after leaving the local cooperative in 1974 to make wine on his own terms. Now run by the next generation—Thomas, Claire and Edith Richaud—it remains rooted in organic farming, with Ecocert certification since 2008. The estate works with hand-harvested fruit, gobelet-trained vines and mechanical soil work, and follows a low-intervention approach in the cellar: indigenous yeasts, spontaneous fermentations, low sulphur, and no fining or filtration. Vinification is carried out by grape variety and terroir profile, with élevage in foudres, muids and demi-muids. The wines are noted for their purity, finesse and strong connection to place.
