Domaine des Terres Falmet

France

Domaine des Terres Falmet is a family-owned Saint-Chinian estate in Languedoc-Roussillon, established in 1996 and run by owner-winemaker Yves Falmet. Its steep, rocky clay-limestone vineyards include old Cinsault bush vines, with farming described as organic, pesticide-free and based on “rational ecology,” although the estate is also noted as having no organic or biodynamic certification. Grapes are hand-harvested and fully destemmed. Wines are fermented and aged in tank without oak, with low sulphur at bottling, emphasizing the quality of the fruit and the estate’s hands-on approach.
