Domaine de la Closerie is a family-owned estate in Restigné, in the Bourgueil area of the Loire Valley, run by Jean-François Mabileau and representing four generations of viticulturists. Its vineyard is certified Agriculture Biologique (AB) from the 2013 vintage, with no synthetic pesticides or insecticides and minimal sulfur used in vinification. The estate’s Cabernet Franc wines come exclusively from its own vineyards, are aged for six months in oak, and bottled on-site. The domaine occupies early-20th-century buildings that formerly housed a brewery, and also produces grape juice and grape jelly. Visitors are welcomed for tastings and educational vineyard tours.
