Domaine de L’Octavin

France

Domaine de l'Octavin is a biodynamic estate in Arbois, Jura, founded in 2005 by Alice Bouvot and solely owned by her since 2015. Demeter-certified since 2010, the vineyards are farmed organically and biodynamically with a holistic ecosystem approach that encourages wild grasses, insects, and animals on limestone-rich slopes. Bouvot is the sole winemaker, making small-batch "pur jus" wines with hand-destemming, spontaneous fermentations from indigenous yeasts, and no additives, sulphur, fining, or filtration. The domaine is known for limited, artisan production and a highly hands-on approach from vineyard to cellar.
