Domaine Bourillon Dorléans

France

Bourillon Dorléans is a long-established family estate in Rochecorbon, in the Loire Valley’s Vouvray appellation, founded in 1921 by Gaston Dorléans and now led by Frédéric Bourillon with the next generation, including his son Benjamin. The domaine focuses on Chenin Blanc from clay-limestone and clay-siliceous soils, producing Vouvray in dry, sweet, and sparkling styles. For more than 25 years, the family has practiced reasoned viticulture with minimal treatments, soil-conscious farming, mechanical weeding, and shredded vine shoots used as natural fertilizer. In the cellar, grapes are gently pressed, with élevage divided between thermoregulated stainless steel and oak; some top cuvées are barrel-fermented with indigenous yeasts and BioProtection is used to help limit SO2. The estate is also known for its sculpted troglodyte cellars.
