Producer

Château Vieux Maillet

France

Château Vieux Maillet is a Bordeaux estate owned by Hervé and Griet Lavialle from 2004, with Frédéric Stévenin becoming proprietor for the 2022 vintage. The vineyards are HEV3 certified and undergoing conversion to organic farming, with the first certified organic vintage expected in 2026. Precision “intelligent spraying” using drones helps target treatments and minimize inputs. The estate expanded in 2023 through the acquisition of 3.7 hectares from Château La Fleur Gazin. Winemaking has been associated with Laurence Ters, working under Michel Rolland, and more recently with Bruno Lacoste.
