Carlo Noro

Italy

Carlo Noro is a family-run biodynamic farm based in Labico, Lazio, with vineyards in nearby Piglio. Founded by biodynamic farmer and trainer Carlo Noro, the estate produces wine, olive oil and biodynamic preparations, while also offering consultancy and practical training through Professione Biodinamica. Farming emphasizes ecological balance, prevention, cover crops, natural soil fertility and reduced copper and sulphur, avoiding pesticides and chemical fertilizers. The winery is managed by Carlo’s sons, Simone and Valerio. Wines are made naturally, with spontaneous fermentations, no added nutrients or acids, natural clarification and stabilization, low sulphite additions, and bottling without membrane filtration. The estate focuses on local varieties including Cesanese and Passerina, from volcanic and calcareous soils.
