Angelo Negro

Italy

Angelo Negro is a historic, family-owned estate in Piedmont’s Roero, with documented roots dating to 1670 and now managed by Giovanni Negro and his children, with Angelo Negro as chief winemaker. Its vineyards span the Roero, Barbaresco, and Barolo areas, where the family focuses on native Piedmont varieties and traditional winemaking. All vineyards are farmed organically under Equalitas certification, with no herbicides used in several sites and a strong emphasis on soil health, biodiversity, and natural fertilization. The estate also operates a nursery and collaborates with the University of Turin on Arneis clone research. Distinctive vineyard sites include sandy Roero parcels producing mineral, sapid Arneis and steep, manually worked Valmaggiore vines yielding elegant, identity-driven Nebbiolo.
