Family-owned Tenuta Spinelli was founded by Simone Spinelli in 2009 and is based in Castignano, in Marche’s Piceno hinterland. Carlo and Adriano Spinelli now manage the estate, with Adriano serving as technical director and head winemaker. The winery works with indigenous varieties including Pecorino, Passerina and Montepulciano, alongside Pinot Nero and Grenache. Its vineyards are Guyot-trained and hand-picked at low yields, with a particular focus on high-altitude Pecorino from Montemisio, where red, stony soils and marked temperature variation contribute to mineral, terroir-driven wines. Since 2020, the estate has pursued a Residuo Zero viticultural protocol using natural resistance-inducing formulations after flowering. Its wines include the Offida Pecorino DOCG Artemisia, as well as DOC and IGT bottlings from Marche.
