Founded in Fuenmayor in 1882, Rioja Vega is a historic Rioja winery focused on expressing the genuine character of its vineyards. Its vineyards in Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa include old vines, varied sites and soils, and an emphasis on specific parcels such as Finca Cubillas, Finca Majalpozo and the low-yielding Finca La Presa. The winery combines Riojan tradition with technological innovation, producing wines from young styles through Reserva, Gran Reserva and limited-production bottlings. Rioja Vega is particularly committed to indigenous and minority varieties, including Maturana Tinta, Maturana Blanca, Graciano, Garnacha Blanca and Tempranillo Blanco. Led by winemaker Esperanza Elías, the winery holds Sustainable Wineries for Climate Protection certification and maintains quality, character and elegance as its guiding identity.
