Peter Veyder-Malberg

Austria

Peter Veyder-Malberg is an independent, self-run winery in Austria’s Wachau, working primarily in the cold Spitzer Graben, with additional parcels elsewhere in the region. As both owner and winemaker, Peter farms organically and biodynamically, including the restoration of historic terraces. The estate focuses on Riesling grown on gneiss and mica-schist terraces and Grüner Veltliner from loess-rich slopes. Its very small-scale approach and gradual expansion reflect a hands-on, artisanal producer dedicated to distinctive Wachau vineyards.
