Maria Caterina Dei

Italy

Cantine Dei is a three-generation, family-owned estate in Montepulciano, led by Maria Caterina Dei. The family’s first vineyard was planted at Bossona in 1964, with the first Vino Nobile released from the 1985 harvest. Its vineyards span five distinct sites—Martiena, Bossona, Ciarliana, Cervognano, and La Piaggia—where zonazione helps express differing terroirs. The estate combines artisanal winemaking and respect for tradition with innovation, elegance, and a strong focus on environmental responsibility. Organic farming, certified since 2021, is complemented by Equalitas certification, renewable energy, resource-conscious practices, and attention to biodiversity and emissions. The travertine winery is designed to harmonize with the Montepulciano landscape, while Maria Caterina’s passion for music, art, hospitality, and culture forms part of the estate’s distinctive identity.
