Founded in 1946 by Henri Jacqueson, this family-owned domaine is based in Rully in Burgundy’s Côte Chalonnaise, with vineyards in Rully, Mercurey and Bouzeron. Now run across three generations by Paul Jacqueson and his children Marie and Pierre, the estate farms its limestone-clay vineyards organically for nearly 20 years while following sustainable practices, without a listed formal certification. It produces both red and white wines, with reds slightly predominant. Grapes are harvested according to maturity studies and carefully sorted, while the wines are aged in oak barrels from Burgundian coopers. Reds are clarified with egg white and bottled unfiltered; whites receive light filtration. The domaine’s history is closely linked to the development of the Rully appellation, which Henri helped promote.
