Naked Orange

Gernot and Heike Heinrich are a husband-and-wife team running their family-owned estate in Gols, Burgenland, with vineyards in Gols and Leithaberg near Lake Neusiedl. Certified biodynamic by Demeter since 2006, they farm their vineyards according to biodynamic principles with manual work and low-intervention practices. Both are directly involved as owners and winemakers, overseeing the work from vineyard to bottle. In the cellar, the approach is natural and restrained, with spontaneous fermentations, native yeasts, minimal filtration, and in some wines no added sulfites or filtration. The estate grew from a small start to a broader biodynamic holding while remaining under family direction.
