Germany

Fritz Steitz is a fifth-generation, family-owned winery based in Badenheim, Rheinhessen, with vineyards in western Rheinhessen and around Bad Kreuznach in the Nahe. Owner-winemaker Fritz Steitz works alongside his sons Christian and Finn, cultivating eight parcels with a long-term, generational approach to sustainability. The estate is both ecologically and sustainably certified and considers itself a grower rather than simply a wine producer, seeking to express the relationship between site, soil, microclimate and vine care. Its handcrafted wines include Riesling, Silvaner, Pinot varieties and sparkling wines, with site wines emphasizing depth, individuality, complexity and ageing potential.
