Domaine Guirardel is a family-owned estate in France’s Sud-Ouest, operated by Françoise Casaubieilh and Pierre Coulomb. Its certified organic and biodynamic vineyards occupy steep, terraced slopes overlooking a small valley, with Petit Manseng and Gros Manseng planted in soils containing a deep vein of rounded glacial stones. The estate follows low-yield, permaculture-informed practices. Wines are made without added SO₂, using gravity-fed concrete pressing and turbocharged fermentation, then aged for a year in oak before oxidative maturation in open stainless steel vats. This distinctive approach develops complex, Rancio-like character.
