Domaine Giachino is a family estate in Savoie, rooted in the Genton family’s long agricultural history in the Grésivaudan and built by Frédéric Giachino from vines inherited from his grandfather, later joined by his brother David and the next generation. Based around Chapareillan at the foot of Mont Granier in the Chartreuse regional park, the domaine farms parcels across several Savoie communes on limestone- and clay-rich glacial soils. Certified organic and biodynamic by AB and Demeter, it works by hand, uses indigenous yeasts, keeps additions minimal, and raises wines on lees, largely in stainless steel. The estate also helps preserve historic local varieties including Douce Noire.
