Domaine des Chaumes is a family-run estate in Maligny, near Auxerre and Chablis, where several generations of vignerons have continued the family tradition. The domaine farms more than 11 hectares using reasoned viticulture, with respect for the soils and nature. Its vineyards include remarkable old vines—some around a century old—as well as a 19th-century, ungrafted “franc de pied” parcel. The wines are made from Chardonnay grown on fossil-rich limestone soils in the valley, which contribute distinctive aromatic character. The estate sells directly from the domaine and through fairs, markets, and selected restaurants. Its wines received a star in the 2026 Guide Hachette.
