Vouvray Sparkling Brut

Domaine de la Rouletière, in the Vouvray area of the Loire Valley, is a family-owned estate run by Jean-Marc and Théodora Gilet, with the family’s winegrowing history spanning ten generations. The domaine farms vineyards on flinty clay, calcareous clay, clay and limestone soils, centered on Chenin Blanc. Many vineyards are farmed organically, with conversion begun in 2013 and the first certified organic harvest in 2016. The estate also has historic troglodyte cellars dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. Its approach combines long family tradition with independent grape growing, winemaking, and sales at the estate.
