Domaine Christophe Billon

France

Domaine Christophe Billon is a family-owned estate in France’s Rhône Valley, rooted in a family history dating to 1942. Christophe Billon began making Syrah in 1991, founded the domaine that same year, and left Guigal in 2007 to focus fully on his own wines; his son Corentin joined in 2015. The domaine farms steep Côte-Rôtie vineyards including Le Goutay, Combard, Les Moutonnes, and Côte Baudin on schist soils, using sustainable, low-intervention practices. In the cellar, Billon works with 30% whole-bunch fermentation and matures the wines for 22 months in seasoned French oak, producing Syrahs that are balanced, structured, and richly textured.
