Domaine Christian Salmon is a family-run estate in Bué, near Sancerre, where the Salmon family has cultivated vines for six generations. The domaine produces Sancerre Blanc from Sauvignon Blanc, Sancerre Rouge and Rosé from Pinot Noir, and Pouilly-Fumé from Sauvignon Blanc. Its vineyards include clay-limestone “terres blanches,” stony limestone “caillottes,” and distinctive Pouilly-sur-Loire parcels with Kimmeridgian marl and Villiers limestone. The estate emphasizes respect for terroir and cultural practices that allow nature and natural aromas to express themselves. Its wines are described as aromatic, fresh, and complex, with a philosophy centered on care, finesse, passion, tradition, and authenticity.
