Domaine Chantal Lescure

France

Domaine Chantal Lescure is a Burgundy estate founded in 1975 by Chantal Lescure and Xavier Machard de Gramont, with vineyards stretching from Meursault through the Côte de Beaune to the Côte de Nuits. The domaine works only its own vineyards and has been certified organic since the mid-2000s, with long-running efforts to eliminate chemical inputs and preserve soil life; biodynamic practices are also noted. Farming and cellar work emphasize hand harvesting, controlled yields and a gentle, low-intervention approach. Wines are raised on lees in a cold cellar, with very limited new oak, and are bottled unfiltered, with no fining and low sulfur. After the founders’ family ownership, the estate was taken over in 2023 by Jean-Philippe Girard in partnership with Éric Rousseau.
