César Márquez is a family-owned Bierzo project in Castilla y León, led by César Márquez Pérez as both owner and winemaker. He is heir to a family winery founded in 1752, and the estate remains independently owned with no corporate involvement. His Parajes wines draw on century-old vineyards spread across nine villages, with vines averaging 102 years of age. The sites are rooted in a varied mix of clay, slate, sand, and limestone soils, giving the range a distinctly multi-site character. Márquez also works under the mentorship of Raúl Pérez. No sustainability certifications or eco-labels are noted in the available information.
