Casa de Vila Nova is a family-owned estate in Sousan, within Portugal’s demarcated Vinho Verde region, with roots dating to the 12th century. The Lencastre family began producing Vinho Verde in the 1970s–80s and continues to run the winery through siblings Bernardo, Luísa, Sofia and Filipe. Its wines combine the founders’ tradition with the younger generation’s energy and innovation, focusing on young, fresh expressions of Alvarinho, Avesso, Loureiro, Arinto and Fernão Pires, alongside Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Grapes are carefully selected from the estate and local growers, with winemaking conducted in partnership with Antonio Sousa and a recognized team. The portfolio reflects a quality-focused approach grounded in family continuity and regional identity.
