Bestheim is an Alsace cooperative founded in 1946 by winegrowers rebuilding after the Second World War. Owned by roughly 450 families across 71 villages, it works varied Alsatian soils and is committed to sustainable viticulture, including soil cover, reduced inputs and vitiforestry. The cooperative’s Bennwihr cellar focuses on still wines, while its Westhalten site is dedicated to Crémant d’Alsace. Under cellar master Christophe Adam, the house style is frank, clean and precise, with particular emphasis on carefully selected Crémants, Grand Cru wines and the long maturation of its Exception range. Its “Moon Hunters” identity reflects the members’ solidarity, boldness and pursuit of terroir expression.
