Wirra Wirra is a family-owned McLaren Vale winery in South Australia, founded in 1894 by Robert Strangways Wigley and rebuilt in the late 1960s by Greg Trott. Still under Trott family ownership, it farms estate blocks in McLaren Vale and also sources fruit from premium Adelaide Hills vineyards. The estate follows organic and biodynamic principles, with NASAA biodynamic certification since 2013, using permitted organic inputs and drip irrigation. Notes also highlight wider sustainability measures including native revegetation, solar power, wastewater treatment and zero-waste winemaking. Chief Winemaker Emma Wood leads the cellar team, supported by Kelly Wellington and Grace Wang. Wirra Wirra is also known for its long-running Church Block label and its historic ironstone cellars.
