Weingut Tement

Austria

Tement is a family-owned estate in Styria, founded in 1959 by Josef Tement and now run by second- and third-generation family members, led by Armin Tement with support from Stefan Tement and other relatives. Working vineyards in Austria and Slovenia, the estate is especially known for Sauvignon Blanc. Since 2022, its vineyards have been certified organic, formalizing a long-standing focus on biodiversity, soil health, and hand-worked farming. Tement places strong emphasis on site expression, with parcels such as Zieregg, Grassnitzberg Riff, Wielitschberg, and Sulz highlighting varied soils, exposures, and micro-terroirs. Armin Tement serves as principal winemaker, shaping a range of wines rooted in careful vineyard management and distinct terroir character.
