Veglio Angelo is a family-run winery in La Morra, in Piedmont’s Langhe, with roots reaching back to 1886. Now operated as Azienda Vitivinicola Veglio Angelo di Veglio Franco, it remains closely tied to local territory and traditional winemaking, producing Barolo DOCG alongside Barbera d’Alba, Dolcetto d’Alba, Langhe Nebbiolo, Freisa and Chardonnay. All vineyards are in La Morra. Since 2000, the estate has avoided soil tillage, maintaining naturally occurring grass cover to limit erosion, support soil life and reduce reliance on chemical inputs. Vineyard work is manual, while cellar practices include controlled fermentation, stainless-steel settling and wooden-barrel ageing for selected wines. Visits and tastings are available at the winery.
