Va de Bo is made by Finca Collado, a family-owned winery in Salinas, Alicante, working with native and ancestral varieties in the Alto Vinalopó. The estate’s harsh, semi-arid climate, saline mineral soils and calcareous marls shape wines rooted in their Mediterranean surroundings. The team combines traditional farming and winemaking with sustainable, ecological practices and minimal intervention in the cellar. Led by winemaker Joan Guia, the project has focused on recovering old vines and nearly unique local varieties, including Monastrell, Bobal and Merseguera, alongside newer plantings of Garnacha, Forcallat and Malvasía. Its wines seek to express distinctive sites, including vineyards bordering the saline Salinas lagoon, while contributing to the cultural and viticultural heritage of the region.
