Tenuta La Chiusa is a historic estate near the sea in Portoferraio on Elba, founded in 1590 and owned by the Bertozzi Corradi family since 2003. Its vineyards are cultivated with native varieties including Vermentino, Ansonica, Trebbiano, Sangiovese and Aleatico, alongside olive groves producing Tuscan IGP extra virgin olive oil. The estate’s philosophy combines tradition, quality and respect for nature and the surrounding territory. Wines include fresh, climate-suited whites that express Elba’s maritime character, traditional Sangiovese-based reds, and rosé. Production takes place in a historic 18th-century cellar equipped with stainless-steel tanks and oak tonneaux, with the family and team emphasizing careful work, research and continuous improvement.
