Sasso di Sole is a family-owned estate in Montalcino, Tuscany, run by Roberto Terzuoli, who oversees its agronomy, winemaking and wine aging. The Terzuoli family has produced wine for generations, combining technological innovation with respect for Montalcino tradition. Its vineyards lie in the north-eastern part of the denomination, within the Val d’Orcia UNESCO site, and are planted entirely to Sangiovese Grosso. Organic farming, Cordon de Royat training, green harvesting and careful manual picking reflect the family’s stated belief that good wine begins with respect for the land. Fermentation uses indigenous yeasts, followed by malolactic fermentation in steel and aging in large Slavonian oak barrels. The resulting wines are intended to preserve fruit integrity while expressing elegance, refinement and long-aging structure.
