Sasbacher Winzerkeller eG is a cooperative winery in Sasbach am Kaiserstuhl, Baden, with more than 80 years of tradition. Its vineyards lie almost exclusively within Sasbach, near the Rhine, on distinctive volcanic lava, dark volcanic-weathering and loess soils shaped by the Kaiserstuhl’s former volcanic activity. The region’s warm, Baden-Mediterranean climate supports expressive wines, particularly fruit-forward, bouquet-rich whites, alongside characterful wines described as honest and full of joie de vivre. Kellermeister Werner Giener and managing director Fabian Vögtle lead the operation. The winery combines its strong local identity with cellar work involving barriques and wooden barrels, and offers tastings and cellar tours.
