Founded in 1992 in Anjou, Loire Valley, Moulin de Chauvigné is a family-owned estate spanning the Savennières and Rochefort-sur-Loire appellations. Today, Sylvie de Chauvigné and her daughter Manon run the domaine as “Les Elles du Moulin,” continuing a family tradition after Sylvie’s husband and co-founder Christian passed away. The vineyards are farmed sustainably under HVE Level 3 certification, with distinctive shale and sandy soils and a broad range of grape varieties. Sylvie has overseen vinification since the estate’s beginnings, while the family harvests its own grapes, vinifies them in its cellar, and bottles at the estate, including sparkling-wine disgorgement. The wines are presented as carefully crafted expressions of fruit and terroir.
