Marqués de Griñón is a family-owned estate in Castilla-La Mancha, centered on the historic Dominio de Valdepusa, which has belonged to the Falcó family since 1292 and was shaped in its modern form by Carlos Falcó, 5th Marquess of Griñón. Known for its pioneering spirit, the estate was the first in Spain to receive Vino de Pago status in 2002 and helped introduce varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah to the region. On limestone-clay soils, it focuses on minimal-intervention winemaking, avoiding unnecessary rackings, filtration, and fining, while combining tradition with innovation through advanced viticulture, drip irrigation, and sustainability-minded practices. The wines are intended to express terroir with precision and finesse.
