Louis Chèze is a family-owned estate in Limony in the northern Rhône Valley, founded in 1978 when Louis Chèze took over a single hectare. Still owned and run by Louis Chèze, the domaine farms across appellations including Saint-Joseph, Condrieu, Côte-Rôtie and Vin de Pays. The vineyards are managed with organic farming and viticulture raisonnée, with parcel-by-parcel attention, manual harvesting, selective sorting and low-yield practices. Chèze is described as a self-taught winemaker whose determination, curiosity and rigour shape both vineyard work and cellar decisions, with each vintage approached as an expression of terroir. Since 2000, he has also been among the growers helping revive the historic Seyssuel terroir.
