Founded in 2002 by former Chateau Ste. Michelle CEO Allen Shoup, Long Shadows is based in Washington and operates five estate vineyards in eastern Washington. Its ownership expanded in 2005 when Tuscan wine family members Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari joined as partners. Head winemaker Gilles Nicault has led the winery since 2003, working with a rotating roster of internationally renowned guest winemakers, including Michel Rolland, to showcase Washington grapes through global collaboration. Long Shadows also operates a two-story tasting room in Woodinville, opened in 2023.
