L’Île Rouge is a family-owned Bordeaux estate founded and solely owned by winemaker Antonin Jamois in 2014. With an agronomy background, Jamois farms organically—certified since 2016—and follows biodynamic, biodiversity-focused practices. The estate combines vines with fruit trees and ancient grains in a holistic polyculture, while working to revive near-extinct Castets and Mancin varieties. Its 2.5 hectares of vineyard sit within a 6-hectare property, supporting a small-scale, terroir-driven approach. The name refers to Madagascar.
